At the heart of Big Bend Notional Park in the South of Far West Texas lies the Chisos Mountain Range. The mountains rise like phantoms to provide respite from the desert heat and shelter to “People of the Forest”.  During recent travels I stayed overnight at the base of this beautiful mountain. "The Window" view opposite was equally (if not more) stunning. I look forward to sharing some of those images with you soon 🙂

It seemed the Turkey Vultures circling overhead were a constant feature in the skies of both Oregon & Texas this year.  Time after time they flew into frame.  Eventually this made me curious about their symbolism, so I did a little research.

Known as the GOLDEN PURIFIER these birds remind us that dirty jobs done in service of Mother Earth bear great gifts. The vulture does not hunt or expend excessive energy. Rather, when needed, it soars above limitation & seizes the resources already available. Patiently riding the wind & sensing the perfect moment to descend from higher awareness this creature is rewarded with sustenance as it purifies it's surroundings.   

Some would say,  when this bird appears "You are being asked to be patient with yourself and think things through. Take your time before making decisions and choose paths that support your higher consciousness and your heart. Use all of your resources combined with your past experience to approach the problem from a different angle…"  Sounds like good advice to me – I'll take it!
